Webs With WordPress (3W) is a package that uses the blogging software, WordPress, as a Content Management System. It is typically sold to web designers and developers for resale. It is a service offered by CommAREus New Media Design, a web services company outside of Boston.

A Little More About WordPress
As you may know, WordPress started out as a blogging platform. Because of the popularity of this application and the amount of ‘plug-ins’ that have been developed, it has evolved into a very robust and capable CMS. In addition, there is a large community of users and developers that have created lots of online documentation and extra features.
What is a Content Management System, CMS?
A CMS is software that allows for easy organization and editing of websites. It employs a WYISIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) for creating bold text, for example. The real advantage of using a CMS is that it takes the website functionality from a ‘static’ website to a website with many ‘dynamic’ features, that would normally require custom database and programming development. An example of this is the search function that is easily implemented within any site using WordPress.
